Michael Reiter is a California attorney based in San Bernardino, California. He represents and advises public agencies, individuals, businesses, and corporate entities in matters involving municipal law, public agency operations, code enforcement, real estate, employment, inverse condemnation, litigation, and related disputes.
Michael was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 2, 1998. He earned his B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.
Michael is a Partner at Mundell, Odlum & Haws LLP, where he has practiced since July 8, 2025. He previously served as a Partner at Cole Huber LLP from June 6, 2023 to April 3, 2025; an Associate at Aarvig & Associates, APC from May 1, 2021 to April 19, 2023; Of Counsel at Milligan, Beswick, Levine & Knox, LLP from April 1, 2017 to April 30, 2021; and owner of Michael Reiter, Attorney at Law from July 1, 2010 to March 31, 2017.
Earlier in his career, Michael served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Redlands from January 3, 2006 to June 30, 2010, and as Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Bernardino from February 12, 2001 to January 2, 2006. He began his legal career as a Staff Attorney with the Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino, Inc. from September 1999 to February 10, 2001.
Michael has served as President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President of the San Bernardino County Bar Association. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Bernardino County Bar Association, the Joseph B. Campbell American Inns of Court, and the Riverside County Bar Association, which he joined in May 2021.
Michael also serves as an independent hearing officer for the San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association, an independent defined-benefit pension plan headquartered in San Bernardino, California.
Michael previously served as an appointed Planning Commissioner for the City of Redlands. He also served as the City of Redlands’ designee to the Interagency Council on Homelessness, designated by then-Mayor Peter R. Aguilar.
